ANIMALS AND FIGURES IN THE LANDSCAPE

This class shows you how to use animals and figures in landscape paintings like the Impressionists. Students will receive individual instruction in value, gesture and the shape of shadow and light. Classes will be held at local farms or parks, weather permitting. All levels and media are welcome. Class includes model fees.

Materials Needed: Bring an 11" x 14" drawing pad, #2B pencil and a kneaded eraser to the first class. Other materials needed will be discussed in the first class.

Shauna Shane has been painting professionally for 25 years. A former Resident Artist at Yellowstone National Park, her education includes Lyme Academy of Fine Art, UConn, Banff School of Fine Art, and Montana State University, in addition to master classes with many renowned artists. www.fentonrivergallery.com
